The database includes 29 indicators of fiscal space grouped into four categories:

• Government debt sustainability (including government debt, fiscal balance, and sustainability gaps)
• Balance sheet composition (including government debt by residency status and currency, maturity of government debt, concessional debt)
• External and private sector debt (including total, short-term, and private external debt and private sector credit)
• Market access (including debt ratings)
